It has been 2 months since last product update 🙂 We have get more product on to our rack. Let’s take a look.
1st on the list is the WiFi module from Roving Networks, RN-XV. It has the same footprint with XBee module and size might be bigger and similar with XBee PRO. We give away the XBee-Breakout board together with this module to ease the interface. You might want to use the SKBee board too. So what can you do with this WiFi module? You can link up to WiFi modem in your house to have Internet access , go to the product page and look at the example people made, have fun with it.
Next is the tiny yet powerful magnet ring, with the size of 10mm x 3mm x 3mm, this magnet can really stuck metal and their counter part. Just take a look at the video, you will like it. Hang your key chain on your freeze door, hold a note on white board, collect the paper-clip, It can also be conductor to your circuit and hold PCB together.
If you are building combat robot, I am sure you will need to drive motors. Not ordinary motors, but very powerful and high ampere motors. This 40A Smart Drive motor driver is for you. Single Channel, 80A peak current for 1 second, 40A for 5 minutes and 30A for 20 minutes, plus polarity protection at power input, support RC mode, PWM, Analog, Serial input. I am confident you will love this driver! From what we have tested, it can drive the 120W DC Brush motor, or even the well known current sucker Starter Motor, WITHOUT problem 🙂 Look at the video, I am sure you will like it.
Besides the RN-XV WiFi module, we also carry another low cost 2.4GHz Wireless transceiver module. The nRF24L01+ module. 3.3V power but 5V compatible logic interface. A host microcontroller is necessary to control this module via SPI interface. I am sure you will get some sample projects out on the Internet 🙂
Everyone like SONY PS2 🙂 Besides playing game on TV or console, you can actually use the PS2 dual shock controller to control your robot, even an automation project. Now we carry the breakout board for PS2 socket. It breakout the PS2 pin to standard 0.1″ pad, use the header pin or header socket to interface with your controller.
Just get itself on the rack is the AC to DC Switching Power Supply. We now carry this robust long hour usage power supply. This switching power supply have long serve the automation machine in factory 🙂 I am pretty sure it can satisfy your project. We now carry several type of this switching power supply. It can support different voltage, but you need to select with a slide switch. Did I tell you it comes with 1 year warranty?
Besides the Arduino UNO and Mega board from Italy, we now carry the Arduino ADK. It is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560 and has a USB host interface to allow connection to Android based phones or tablets. It is compatible with Android’s Accessory Development Kit examples. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 14 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. You like digital clock but you want it big, now you can have it. This is Big time watch Kit. This kit come it loose components, you will need to solder it. The microcontroller is preloaded with program. You need to press a side button to see the current time. Battery estimated to last for 1 to 2 years for normal usage. Why don’t buy it for your kids as present and they can also learn soldering?

Superb if you want to control small RC plane and make an co-pilot for stabilization. If you don’t like downloading program via USB cable to Arduino board, why don try the Arduino Fio. We are now carrying official Arduino Fio designed Shigeru Kobayashi. The bottom is XBee module socket with offer pluggable of XBee. With XBee module (not included) you can download new sketch from Arduino IDE WIRELESSLY. Of course wireless control and monitor is sure CAN 🙂 Running Atmega328 at 8MHz, this small controller will serve your project endlessly. Enjoy it!
If you think Fio is small, look at this, the Arduino Pro Mini, is the smallest arduino board (18 x 33mm) I ever see. Tiny remains the power of Arduino. We are carrying the official Pro Mini (not clone). Running Atmega328 at 16MHz (same as Duemilanove), it has the minimal components for arduino to work. You will need USB to UART converter to load program, we are coming out with the tutorial to do so. So stay tuned!
OK, the Pro mini is small, this Romeo Robot Controller is a little bigger than standard Arduino board. Romeo is All In One Robot controller which is support by Arduino IDE. Come with 2A Motor driver (2 channels), suitable to drive small motor. Ready header pin for RC servo and separated Servo power input. You can create Biped with it, you can control line following robot with it, you can build RC control car with it………. whole long list of projects waiting for it. What are you waiting for ??
